Document Description
Caltrans proposes a Director’s Order (DO) to complete structural repairs to maintain the safety and integrity of Bridge # 57-0549 (Old Town Viaduct) along I-5. Work includes repair of a deteriorated longitudinal joint seal to ensure safety along MTS trolley rails, placement of concrete for slope paving under the bridge, and cleaning of existing gutters on the bridge. The joint seal on the I-5 Bridge # 57-0549 is damaged and leaking onto the trolley rails below. There will be temporary lane closures to install K-rail and restripe travel lanes to allow access and work on shoulders adjacent to the concrete barrier wall on the bridge. Same closures are needed to remove K-rail and restripe lanes upon completion of the work. All work will occur within State right-of-way.
