Document Description
The project includes adding buried anodes adjacent to manhole locations within existing Water Authority’s right-of-way on Marine Corp Air Station Miramar as part of the cathodic protection system to prevent corrosion of the pipeline. This activity includes minor trenching and boring and installation of anode rods that will be placed in a drilled hole approximately 12 inches wide and 15 feet deep near Pipeline 4. Anodes will be connected by wires and to a receiver located on the manhole through a buried polyvinyl chloride (PCV) pipe.
