Class 1,“consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use” and includes “[e]xisting…streets, sidewalks, gutters…and similar facilities.” The project infrastructure Project,will involve rehabilitation of several streets and overpasses within the city. It includes resurfacing roads, reconstructing curbs and gutters, upgrading sidewalks to comply with ADA standards, and installing new traffic signage and pavement markings. The project is in compliance with relevant federal, state, and local environmental laws, including but not limited to the Clean Air Act, Endangered Species Act, and Floodplain Management regulations.
