Notice of Exemption
Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Class 1; Section15301
Reasons for Exemption
Class 1 is applicable to the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use. The Class 1 applies to the Project because: 1) the proposed on-sale and consumption of beer, wine, and distilled spirits at the Project site is limited to adding an ancillary service to the indoor recreational facility with a restaurant, where the on site alcohol service is limited to interior of the proposed facility; 2) the proposed Sign Program is limited to repurposing an existing freestanding pole to support a new pylon sign and
installation of new wall-affixed signs and wall branding graphics; and 3) proposed facade improvement is limited to updates to the exterior fa9ade and a minor expansion of the existing building of approximately 1,145 square feet. Therefore, the Project is categorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA.
