Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-VEN-45318-R5, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Southern California Edison (Permittee), as represented by Victoria Parsons. The project consists of vegetation crushing and trimming to facilitate access to Pole 1515278E, and the replacement of Pole 1515278E in-kind using a helicopter and hand crews. Access to the pole requires hand crews to travel 0.4 miles on Arroyo Conejo Trail, which requires the crushing of channel vegetation and trimming around the pole, consisting of riparian trees, to facilitate crew access and allow for overhead helicopter operations in order to conduct pole replacement activities. Channel vegetation crushed and trimmed as part of the project includes temporary impacts to arroyo willow thickets and coast live oak woodland and forest, including trimming of one California sycamore and two coast lives oaks. The project also includes the restoration of areas temporarily impacted by the project, including the regrading of channel areas back to their pre-project contours, removal of project generated wastes, and the restoration of channel ecology and morphology upon completion of the project.
