Document Description
Caltrans proposes to upgrade pedestrian facilities to meet State and Federal regulations. Existing pedestrian ramps within the project limits do not meet current design guidelines which pose mobility barriers for individuals with disabilities and pedestrians. Curb ramps and bicycle facilities need to be upgraded to improve safety, access, and mobility. This project would upgrade 25 curb ramps and 18 crosswalks at on- and off- ramps along Adams Avenue, Ted Williams Parkway, Carmel Mountain Road, and Camino Del Norte. A bicycle lane would also be upgraded to Class IV on Duenda Road. Any changes to scope would be reviewed by Caltrans Environmental.
