Document Description
PG&E proposes to install 3 - #5 vaults to intercept existing conduit in phase 1, trench 256 total feet and install conduit and cable in Caltrans ROW to support the Phase 2 removal of the pole line. Lines crossing over SR -198 will be temporarily suspended during construction. All other construction listed is outside of the Caltrans ROW. Lane and Shoulder closure to be taken per Project Specific TCP. The project is located along State Route 198 between postmiles 26.17 and 26.31 in unincorporated Fresno County, California, northeast of the city of Coalinga. The project area is characterized by agricultural and commercial land use. Vegetation trimming and/or tree removal is not anticipated to be required. Any equipment removed will be transported to a PG&E facility for proper disposal or recycling. All surfaces will be restored to preconstruction conditions, including repaving where necessary. Caltrans would issue an encroachment permit (06-25-6-UL-0406) to allow for the proposed work to occur within State right-of-way.
