725-NUS-0335- Sewer Pipe Repair Project

City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works c/o Bureau of Engineering proposes to remove and replace sections of an eight (8)-inch sewer pipe at two locations between upstream (U/S) (No. 537-04-205) and downstream (D/S) (No. 537-04-059) maintenance holes located along Wilson Street and within Caltrans right-of-way along Interstate 10 at Post Mile (PM) 17.16, as well as to perform traffic control activities in the City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County. The scope of work will include the remodel of the maintenance hole channels, and line the entire sewer reach between the two maintenance holes with structural liner. Work will include excavating an open trench, shoring, bypass pumping, removing and replacing the two 8-foot sections of the sewer pipe, backfill, re-paving the trench area to match existing conditions, and closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspection of entire reach. City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works c/o Bureau of Engineering is requesting a temporary encroachment permit to access Caltrans right-of-way along I-10 at PM 17.16 to complete the above-mentioned work, as well as to perform traffic control activities. Excavation will have a maximum depth of 146-inches, a maximum width of 36-inches and a length of 16 linear feet. No public utilities will be relocated, and no new right-of-way will be acquired for the project.
