Document Description
The Project consists of the construction, operation, maintenance, and eventual decommissioning of a utility-scale ground-mounted solar photovoltaic development on approximately 860 acres of land in western Merced County. The Project would include the construction of a generation tie line to connect to an existing switching station that would generate up to 150 megawatts (MW) of energy with up to 150 MW of battery energy storage system. The purpose of the Project is to generate, store, and transmit renewable energy to the statewide wholesale electricity grid in support of California’s renewable energy goals.
