Document Description
The purpose of the project is to repair and/or replace recreation facilities of the Feather Falls Trailhead and Campground, repairing and replacing roads, and minor facilities damaged or destroyed by fire. This project falls on Forest Service land. Project activities were analyzed under the Feather Falls Salvage Project (signed July 9, 2021). As a part of the NEPA process, comprehensive resource surveys were conducted by Plumas National Forest. No extraordinary circumstances were found that would warrant further analysis and documentation.

Reasons for Exemption
The project is located within an existing campground facility that was impacted by the 2020 North Complex Fire. This project is non-ground disturbing except for minor disturbance of installing shade structures along the existing trail. Other project activities include new sign installation and repairs to existing facilities. During the shade structure installation, a cultural monitor will be on site. Additionally, the area has been surveyed comprehensively for sensitive resources, and it has been determined that project activities will not have a significant impact. Therefore, an exemption pursuant to §15304 is indicated.
