Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number SUT-56304-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, CPN Pipeline Company. The project is limited to re-covering and restoring the three exposed sections of natural gas pipe along an existing 233-foot linear section of a 10-inch diameter pipeline located in the Sutter Bypass. Work activities related to bank stabilization include using rock slope protection, constructing retaining walls, and/or gabion structures. There are three pipeline sections with inadequate cover, including a single exposure of approximately 15 lineal feet. To remediate the exposed pipeline, the project will clear and re-cover approximately 4,738 square feet (sf) along the south bank of the irrigation ditch (unnamed tributary), including three sections of 380 sf, 418 sf, and 3,940 sf. The channel will be dewatered in phases to limit the amount of water to be removed.
