Notice of Exemption
Exempt Status
Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
Class 1 Existing Facilities (Section 15301(c) of the State CEQA Guidelines)
Reasons for Exemption
The project entails the rehabilitation and or installation of approximately 2,850 linear feet of existing pavement on the streets listed above. The pavement in many areas is in poor condition and failing in certain areas due to age and maintenance.
Implementation of the project will reestablish suitable, durable, and serviceable sidewalks and crosswalks. The rehabilitation will improve safety
operations in the area and enhance both vehicular and pedestrian safety. The project will widen the roadway to Include a center-turn lane but will not increase the capacity of the circulation system. For these reasons, the project is consistent with a Class I Categorical Exemption as set forth in Section 15301(c)1 of the State CEQA Guidelines.
