Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes pavement maintenance on State Route (SR) 26 in San Joaquin County at from Post Mile (PM) 1.15 to 8.00 and from PM 10.10 to 11.00. The scope of work includes milling the existing pavement and replacing it with Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt - Gap Graded overlay from PM 1.15 to 8.00. Slurry Seal placement will occur from PM 10.10 to 11.00. Dig-outs will be performed into the existing asphalt concrete by process of cold planning. Failed pavement will be removed and filled back with Hot Mix Asphalt (Type A). All work will occur in Caltrans Right of Way. The purpose of this project is to address areas of failing or damaged roadway. The project is needed to preserve and extend the service life of SR-26.
