Document Description
In May 2025, significant rain events resulted in the deposition of sediment and debris, as well as scour along Needles Highway. These conditions caused dangerous washouts and vertical drop-offs adjacent to the roadway, compromising the safety and integrity of the highway. Emergency activities include, but are not limited to, the removal and cleanup of deposited sediment and debris from the roadway, culverts, and areas immediately adjacent to roadways, as well as repairs to damaged road surfaces, shoulders, culverts, and drainage features to restore safe travel conditions and prevent further damage to the roadway infrastructure.
