Document Description
The City of Redding proposes a pavement maintenance project on various streets within and near the Lake Boulevard East, Lake Boulevard Commercial Center, River Heights, Rockaway, Blue Oak Terrace, Woodcliff Estates, Benton, Del Mar, River Ridge Park, River Ridge Terrace, Bel Air Estates, The Vistas, River Park Highlands mostly residential neighborhoods. Work includes sweeping; grinding; applying a polymer modified rubberized chip seal followed by micro-surfacing on approximately 274,900 square yards of existing streets; and applying traffic stripe and markings. One-way traffic control or temporary street closures may be required. The public will be notified of the project.

Reasons for Exemption
Class 1 exemptions include the operation, repair, maintenance, or minor alteration of existing public facilities. The project will extend the life of the existing pavement and will result in no expansion of use. The project has been reviewed for sensitive resources and will not have a significant effect on biological or cultural resources such as threatened or endangered species or their habitats, sensitive vegetation communities, tribal lands, or tribal cultural resources. The project has no potential to have a significant effect on the environment.
