Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project is categorically exempt from the provisions of the CEQA Guidelines pursuant to the Provisions of Title 14 of the California Administrative Code, Section 15301, which provides for additions to existing structures provided that the additional will not result in an increase of more than 50 percent of the floor area of the structure before the addition, or 2,500 square feet, whichever is less. The proposed project will add a total of 168 square feet of floor area to an existing 2,820 square foot structure, which constitutes a 6% increase in total floor area.
