Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Procession Code, Section 26012, approved a retailer commercial cannabis license submitted on 09/06/2024 by Willow Lane Beach LLC. The Project is proposing a 1,928 sf cannabis retail dispensary at 1414 S State St in Ukiah. The site is located in a mixed-use area with nearby commercial and residential properties, including Super Chavez Market and El Molcajete Restaurant. Deliveries and shipments are expected on Monday and Tuesday during business hours, and three to five employees are expected to be on site daily. Odors are expected to be minimal as all cannabis products will arrive pre-packaged and sealed. The site includes a parking lot. The project will be entirely within the existing site, with no ground work or expansion required.

The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption project. Class 1 Categorical Exemptions consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alterations to existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination. None of the exceptions to this exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply.
