Document Description
On 7/8/26 by Resolution 078-2026, the Santee City Council certified the Final Program EIR for the Land Use Element Update and associated MMRP, Findings of Fact and Statement of Overriding Considerations (SOC). Upon adoption, the City’s Land Use Element Update will guide development in Santee over a 20-year planning period, with a horizon year of 2045. The project that was ultimately approved on 8/12/26 was Alternative 4 of the EIR (the “Proposed Project”), which includes updates to goals, policies, and actions of the Land Use Element and a new Airport Land Use Compatibility section of the Land Use Element. The Proposed Project would not result in significant impacts or require mitigation measures, a MMRP or SOC.
