Document Description
The City of Santee (City) is updating its Land Use Element, which is one of the seven components of the City's General Plan. The Proposed Project will include updates to existing land use designations, the land use map, goals, policies, and actions and will add two new overlay zones. The updates are aimed at fulfilling the guiding principles included in the Land Use Element Update by promoting infill and improving land use efficiency in established neighborhoods and districts. Upon adoption, the City’s Land Use Element Update will guide development in Santee over a 20-year planning period, with a horizon year of 2045. It identifies the permitted intensity, location, and type of development across the City, such as living options, business and employment, parks and recreation, and public facilities.
