Document Description
The Water Reclamation Plant #4 (WRP 4) Pond 2A Liner Replacement Project will replace a Pond Liner at Pond 2A located at the WRP 4 facility. The current damage to the liner at Pond 2A has caused Operations staff to place the pond out of service until the replacement of the liner can be completed. The replacement of the liner is a critical step in ensuring that the plant remains fully operational, capable of meeting its design specifications, and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. The pond liner replacement will replace the aging infrastructure and provide efficiencies, leading to no new expansion of use. The upgraded liner to the existing WRP 4 facility is anticipated to begin in May of 2025 and is anticipated to take place over 30 calendar days. The surrounding land uses consist of open space and roadways. The Project is not located within or adjacent to a conservation area associated with the Coachella Valley Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan (CVMSHCP). The sites are not subject to the CVMSHCP development mitigation fee because the sites are previously developed.
