The City adopted, at second reading, DCA25-000004, which amends the Development Code to add an Open Space -Conservation zone and associated standards; and REZ36-000001, which applies the Open Space Conservation zone to 11 O acres of a 152± acre parcel, and also applies the Tourist Commercial zone to 42 acres of that parcel. These actions are tied to the Ofland Hotel project, located at the southeast corner of Lear Avenue and Highway 62. The project was approved by the City Council at its meeting of July 22, 2025.
