Document Description
The proposed Project involves implementation of the 2021 RAP through a series of actions to address contamination at the Sites, which includes petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and other chemicals of concern that have been released to soil and groundwater beneath each Site. In September 2014, the Los Angeles Water Board issued Cleanup and Abatement Order (CAO) No. R4-2014-0117 to the operators and property owners of the MLOC Site, and CAO No. R4-2014-0118 to the operators and property owners of the LOC Site. The CAOs require the owners and operators of the Sites to investigate, clean up, and abate the effects of waste discharged or deposited at or from the Sites. Because of the at times related operations at the Sites, the proximity of the Sites to each other, and the commingling of contamination at and from the two Sites, the Los Angeles Water Board has encouraged joint remediation of the Sites.
