Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) is funding the Project referred to internally as Carver Tract Water Systems Consolidation Project. The components of the Project to be funded by the State Water Board include the consolidation of the Carver Tract Mutual Water Company (CTMWC) with the Indio Water Authority (IWA) through the installation of approximately 7,400 linear feet of eight-inch ductile iron water mains (including approximately 605 feet of new construction to connect the CTMWC system to the IWA system), gate valves, 16 fire hydrants, various appurtenances, one backflow prevention device, 2,800 feet of one-inch copper service lines, and 188 ¾-inch water meters. The two systems will be connected at six locations, and all components, unless otherwise noted, will replace existing infrastructure. Additionally, the existing CTMWC Well 1 will be destroyed, and the existing water distribution system and hydropneumatic tank will be removed.
