Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has issued Habitat Restoration and Enhancement Act EPIMS Notification Number 1652-2026-087-001-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Christopher Sugar. The primary purpose of the Project is to remove and replace the Meeks Creek Bridge, which currently acts as a fish barrier. The project will also improve terrestrial wildlife connectivity, restore upstream and downstream hydrology, reduce potential for upstream channel clogging, and repair downstream scour. The Project will remove the existing Meeks Bridge and replace it with a 92.5-foot, single-span bridge, add a wildlife crossing, and restore riparian/meadow habitat upstream and downstream of the bridge.
