Document Description
The proposed project is a single-family development which will consist of an 88-unit subdivision which would be located on 20-acres (gross). Residential developments are located to the north and west with the Harold George Visual and Performing Arts facility directly west. Vacant land is also located east and northwest of the site. The project will be developed with related infrastructure such as sewer, water
and drainage facilities. A water quality/storm water drain basin will be located on the
northwest corner of the site. The project site is relatively flat and is about 2,874 feet
above sea level with no slope. It supports disturbed desert scrub habitat common to the area.
The Project will result in incidental take of 83 western Joshua tree (Yucca brevifolia).
which is protected under the WJTCA and the California Endangered Species Act. The
WJTCA ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of western Joshua tree that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
