Document Description
On June 16,2026, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors (Board) approved the following actions for the Los Angeles County Flood Control District (LACFCD) related to the previously approved Baldwin Lake and Tule Pond Restoration Project (Project) Delegated authority to the Chief Engineer of the LACFCD to execute a Funding, Use and Maintenance Agreement and an Industrial Waste and Disposal Services Agreement. The Board also found the actions to be within the scope of the Mitigated Negative Declaration adopted by the Board, acting on behalf of the LACFCD, as lead agency, when the project was approved on March 17, 2026 and that there are no changes to the Project or to the circumstances under which is being undertaken that require further review under CEQA. The approved Project consists of the removal of sediment from Baldwin Lake (Lake) and Tule Pond (Pond), installation of liner and aeration units at the Lake to improve the aquatic ecosystem, realign one storm drain outlet and improve three existing storm drain outlets to minimize erosion; restore the Lake's historic retaining wall for historic preservation, install a new boat launch and improve/replace landscaping around the Lake and Pond.
