Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS-SHA-65759-R1, pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, the project Applicant, City of Redding.
Specific to the Agreement, the project includes a box culvert extension on Victor Avenue north of Hartnell Avenue with a 10-foot by 6-foot temporary impact associated with imported gravel for worker access. There will be approximately 16-feet by 6-feet of permanent impact associated with the import of earthen material to extend the box culvert and build a sidewalk on top of the extension. Approximately 62 linear feet of ephemeral stream will be filled with aggregate base to build a walking trail adjacent to the roadway along Minor Street west of Fairway Avenue. Palustrine emergent wetlands on the north side of Cypress Avenue east of Victor Avenue and at the end of Alfreda Way will be permanently filled. Construction of an 80-foot long by 10-foot-wide pedestrian/bicycle bridge over Little Churn Creek connecting the path on Alfreda Way to Del Monte Street. The bridge will be supported on concrete footings and concrete abutments, with a steel and concrete superstructure. The footings, abutments, and
associated rock slope protection will be outside of the Little Churn Creek channel and floodplain. RSP will be placed around the abutments. Upland vegetation will be removed where needed to widen roads or improve access routes, however riparian vegetation is not expected to be impacted.
