Document Description
The Project is comprised of construction and operation of a singleaxis tracker ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV) community solar facility and battery storage system (BESS) with approximately 14 megawatts (MW) of alternating current in capacity. Project Activities include demolition, site preparation (vegetation clearing),
grading, paving, system installation, and testing, commissioning, and cleanup.
The Project will result in incidental take of 157 western Joshua tree (Yucca brevifolia).
which is protected under the WJTCA and the California Endangered Species Act. The
WJTCA ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of western Joshua tree that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
