Document Description
The proposed project entails modification of Nevada Cement Company LLC's existing lease and modernization of its bulk cementitious-material receiving and distribution terminal at 205 Port Road 1 in the Port of Stockton's East Complex. The leasehold would increase from approximately 4.92 acres to approximately 10.98 acres. Proposed improvements include rehabilitation of Berth 3/4; installation of a new enclosed ship unloader and conveyance system; replacement of Bunkers 6 and 7 with a new storage dome; upgrades to truck and rail loading systems; rail, civil, and utility improvements; and installation of infrastructure at Berth 2 to support future barge loading. The improvements would increase unloading efficiency and storage and loading capacity while remaining within the terminal's existing permitted throughput limits. Construction would occur in phases over approximately 2 to 5 years, with terminal operations continuing during construction.
