Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-SMO-53702-R3), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, the project Applicant, City of Belmont. The Project will undertake restoration activities to improve and enhance a segment of Belmont Creek in Twin Pines Park. Specific actions include widening the channel, raising the streambed, grading the bank, and constructing riffles. Biotechnical treatments and native riparian plantings will be used to enhance 458 linear feet of stream bed and adjacent banks. The Project is expected to improve water quality and enhance Belmont Creek habitat and ecologic conditions. In addition, the Project is designed to alleviate downstream flooding and sedimentation and improve public safety.
