Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) is a Responsible Agency for the Project. The State Water Board is funding the Project referred to internally as Laguna Vista Elementary School Water Treatment Improvement Project. The proposed Project to be funded by the State Water Board includes modifying the Laguna Vista Elementary School Water System by installing an 8,000-gallon storage tank, associated piping, and a new chlorine injection and monitoring system; disconnecting two 14,000-gallon tanks from the service line to the School; installing two point-of-entry treatment systems to provide filtered water to the kitchen, nurse’s station, teacher’s lounge, and water fountains in common areas throughout the School; and installing approximately 900 to 2,000 feet of new one-inch pipe to convey treated water to the above-listed locations. In addition, the proposed Project will include the redevelopment of the System well and installation of an air gap on one of the two 14,000-gallon tanks to prevent water traveling from the tanks back into the well in a negative pressure environment.
