Document Description
This proposed project involves maintenance repairs and improvements to address structural and operational degradation of the existing structure, as well as project site improvements. Maintenance repairs and improvements will include the installation of supplemental outlet headwall support, replacing the existing inlet catwalk, repairing the inlet slides gates, and installing water flow/condition monitoring equipment. The Project will result in impacts to 1.13 acres of Chinook salmon Sacramento River spring run (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha) and Chinook salmon winter run (O. tshawytscha) habitat including temporary impacts to 1.06 acres; the Project will permanently remove 0.07 acres of Chinook salmon Sacramento River spring run and Chinook salmon winter run habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of Chinook salmon Sacramento River spring run and Chinook salmon winter run, which are designated as a threatened and endangered species under the California Endangered Species Act. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
