Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed
Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number ELD-57144-R2, pursuant to
section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, California Department of
Transportation (Caltrans).
The project is limited to the replacement of 34 corrugated steel pipe culverts with reinforced
concrete pipe culverts of the same diameter or larger, replacement of existing headwalls and
drainage inlets, installation of end treatments (rock slope protection and flared end section),
removal and replacement of 15 overside drainpipes with flume down drains, rehabilitation of a
culvert using invert paving, and riparian vegetation removal for construction access. Activities
authorized by this Agreement are part of the larger Highway 50 Capital Maintenance project
which includes pavement maintenance and other culvert rehabilitation along approximately 19
miles of U.S. 50.
