Document Description
The project includes the development of a 4-story fire station and parking lot at 47th Street and Fairmount Avenue, which will serve to add additional emergency and medical response services to the surrounding community. The proposed fire station would occur on a 1.28-acre site and includes 12 foot retaining walls, one garage with two apparatus bays (5,200 square feet), exercise room (1,435 square feet), kitchen,10 bunk rooms (totaling 5,850 square feet). The station will also be serviced by a trash enclosure, an emergency generator, and a fuel tank. In total, the proposed fire station would be 22,443 square feet and 64 feet tall. During construction, an off-site staging area at Sunshine Berardini Park along Federal Boulevard would be utilized.
