Document Description
This project will repair the Leffingwell boat launch at Leffingwell Landing in Hearst Sam Simeon State Park to extend the life of an existing facility that provides water access to park visitors. The Launch is an approx. 14-ft wide concrete structure supported by native underlaying rock. Repairs to the Launch will be as follows: *Core through the existing concrete ramp to access three (3) known existing voids on the front side of the ramp. *Embed dowels (secured with an approved cementitious grout) into the concrete retaining wall adjacent to the boat ramp or rock to support the ramp during void repair. *Pump approx. 50 cubic yards of concrete into the voids and patch original core locations; and *Install expanded rock slope protection along the beach side profile of the ramp to protect the ramp from further erosion.
