Document Description
St. Ignatius College Preparatory School (St. Ignatius) is proposing the St. Ignatius Field Lighting Project (project), which includes the construction and operation of four 90-foot-tall light standards at J.B. Murphy Field using light-emitting diode (LED) lighting fixtures (completed in November 2021) and the construction and operation of a wireless telecommunications services facility installed on the northwest light standard in August 2023. The project also includes the expanded evening operation of four existing 40-foot-tall lights at the school’s upper practice field. Under the proposed field use and lighting program athletic practices and games would be scheduled later into the evening, with lights used until 9:30 p.m. on up to 135 evenings and until 10:00 p.m. on up to 15 evenings annually.
