Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed
Alteration Agreement EPIMS-INY-60408-R6, pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, the project Applicant, California Dept of Transportation, District 9.
The Project is limited to the modification of drainage systems at two locations, called Locations 1 and 2. Activities for Location 1 are limited to the removal of a Siberian elm tree (Ulmus pumila), the installation of a temporary water diversion hose, gravel bag diversion berm, and pump system with fish screen, the installation of a 24-inch diameter culvert to bypass an existing culvert system and connect to a recently installed culvert system, and the removal of the temporary diversion system after completion of construction activities. Activities for Location 2 are limited to the removal of four Siberian elm trees near the existing culvert outlet headwall, the removal of an existing 24-inch diameter culvert, flared end section at the culvert inlet, and headwall at the culvert outlet, and the installation of a slightly shorter 24- inch culvert with flared end sections at the inlet and the outlet. The length of the replacement culvert is
shorter so that the new flared end section at the outlet will be within the footprint of the culvert and headwall that were removed at the outlet.
