Document Description
The proposed General Plan Update establishes the long-range purpose and vision for Hungry Valley SVRA and updates the current General Plan from 1981. The SVRA includes six land use areas with different characteristics, activities or allowable uses, resources, and related management mandates. The land use areas include Distributed Riding Area, Trails Only Area, Native Grasslands Management Area, Quail Canyon Special Event Area, Oak Woodland Natural Preserve, and Cultural Preserves. The proposed General Plan Update would maintain the existing land use designations while modifying allowable OHV recreation boundaries of select areas. Additionally, improvements to various site elements are proposed including additional access and connections, improved circulation, new and improved facilities, additional camping facilities, new and expanded recreation opportunities, and updated amenities.
