The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) is a Responsible Agency for the Project. The State Water Board is funding the Project referred to internally as WAS Thickener Replacement Project. The Project will replace the existing three gravity belt thickeners and associated pumps, polymer blending units, piping, ventilation equipment, and electrical equipment at the Alvarado wastewater treatment plant (Alvarado WWTP). The footprint of the existing Alvarado WWTP will not be expanded, and all equipment is being replaced in-kind.
