Document Description
The Modified Project would consist of installing approximately 15 linear feet of new 30-inch and approximately 215 linear feet of upsized 14-inch to 30-inch pipeline along Cedarcreek Street and Santa Clara Street. The new pipeline would be installed via open-trench excavation. The Modified Project would be installed at a maximum depth of eight feet and would require the export of 211 cubic yards of soil. The Modified Project would not involve any new operation and maintenance activities compared to the Original Project, and no new employees would be required. The purpose of the additional pipeline extension is to connect the Honby Tanks pipeline to the Santa Clara Well pressure distribution zone directly, and to upsize the existing pipeline to alleviate the pressure bottleneck with the existing 14-inch potable water line. The Modified Project would involve the additional pipeline to be installed via open-trench excavation and construction would occur over two to three weeks between October 2024 and January 2026. Construction activities would typically occur between 7:00 A.M. and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. No nighttime or weekend construction is anticipated to be required. Construction equipment would be parked along Furnivall Avenue as well as on the SCV Water-owned pump station located on the northeast corner of Santa Clara Street and Furnivall Avenue, as needed.
