Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has issued an ITP (No. 1927-ITP-2024-053-06, pursuant to Section 1927.3 of the Fish and Game Code to Town of Apply Valley. The Project is comprised of the development of 163- acres of undeveloped land between the 87-acre Cordova Complex and the 76-acre Quarry at Pawnee site into two separate warehouse buildings in addition to their associated improvements such as parking, walkways, fencing, lighting, and water, wastewater, and telecommunications improvements. Project Activities include grubbing and grading, trench digging, pile driving, road construction, and vegetation removal. The Project will result in incidental take of 14 western Joshua tree (Yucca brevifolia). which is protected under the WJTCA and the California Endangered Species Act. The WJTCA ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of western Joshua tree that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
