Document Description
Carnegie SVRA uses existing RMAs to actively manage the hillside riding area road and trail system to meet the Soil Conservation Standard and stormwater runoff regulatory requirements. The project establishes new RMAs in hillside riding areas and undertakes new specialized maintenance projects within RMAs to manage soil erosion and stormwater runoff water quality. The new activities will provide ongoing sustainable OHV recreation by reducing trail density, increasing vegetation cover, creating sustainable trails, enforcing trails-only riding, rehabilitating damaged soil surfaces, and implementing soil loss and erosion control measures that disperse stormwater runoff. The project is separate from and not associated with implementing the 2024 General Plan Update.
