Document Description
Project proposes to reconstruct the maintenance yard facilities destroyed by the 2021 Tamarack Fire, including residences, shop, and dormitories, at Grover Hot Springs State Park to allow parks staff to be onsite for park for maintenance and visitor services purposes. Reconstructions/improvements will utilize the same general footprint as the original maintenance yard. Project will construct a 4,400 SF metal maintenance bldg., two (2), 2,073 SF stick framed residences, two (2), 1,618 SF stick framed dormitories, install necessary utilities and complete sitework to return the area to its original condition. Proposed site work is as follows:
For Water, Electrical, Sewer and Liquid Propane Line Installation:

Water: Excavate a 500 SF area up to 7’ in depth with an estimated volume of 32 CY. Install a 12,000gallon water tank in the excavated area as well as connections to the water lines. Backfill around installed tank covering with a minimum of 2’ of fill. Excavate a 3ft x 3ft by 550ft trench and install a 6-in. water pipe to connect two (2) fire hydrants to new water tank; excavate a 3ft x 2ft x 275ft to install a 2-in. water line to bring water to the structures; and excavate for three (3) 6-in. gate valves and five (5) 2-in. stop valves.

Electrical: Excavate a 3ft x 2ft x approx. 400 feet trench to install a 3-in. conduit for electrical wires, excavate (3) 3ft x 2ft x 2ft holes to install three (3) underground distribution boxes, and pour a 60 SF concrete pad for an above ground transformer installation.

Sewer: Excavate 2,000 linear ft, 3.5 ft deep to install a new leach field system; install a total of 5 (1,500 to 3,000 gallon) holding tanks to serve the maintenance shop, residences, and dormitories; trench a total of approx. 600 ft to connect the systems to the main leach field; and install three (3) 48-in. diameter concrete manholes structures for maintenance access; and

Liquid Propane Line: Excavate to install five (5) Liquid Propane tanks, one (1) at each structure and excavate 225 linear feet to bury ¾ -in. LP gas lines at each location.
Facilities Reconstruction:

Excavate a total of 1,050 cubic yards of soil to construct two (2) residences and associated driveways.
?
Excavate a total of 460 cubic yards of soil to construct two (2) dormitories and associated driveways.

Excavate 690 cubic yards of soil for the maintenance shop and associated driveway; and
?
Excavate 175 cubic yards of soil for the 6,000 SF maintenance yard parking lot.
Site Improvements
?
Widen the existing road, and install asphalt paving to the residences, camp host site, dormitories and, maintenance yard.
?
Install a new asphalt paved parking lot with three (3) ADA parking stalls.

Install concrete paths of travel as needed.
?
Construct an approx. 360 SF wood ADA ramp; and
?
Install ADA and directional signs and striping for roadway and parking stalls.
