Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number ELD-57948-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, the City of Placerville. The project is limited to culverting an open section of intermittent stream at the southwest corner of the Green Valley Road and Debbie Lane intersection. This section of stream is currently culverted upstream and downstream from this open section. The existing downstream double barrel culvert under Green Valley Road will be removed. Then a new 48-inch diameter, approximately 60-foot-long culvert will be installed. This new culvert will connect to the existing upstream culvert and extend to the eastern side of Green Valley Road, where it will be tied into the existing downstream culvert system. A sidewalk will then be constructed over the culverted stream. No trees will be removed, however, Himalayan blackberry shrubs and other herbaceous vegetation within the open stream section will be permanently impacted. This is part of a larger project constructing bicycle and pedestrian facilities along Placerville Drive west of the US 50 undercrossing to Armory Road, and Green Valley Road from Placerville Drive to Mallard Lane.
