Document Description
The project's purpose is to demolish and remove surface and subsurface facilities and subsequent remediation of impacted soils at the onshore Carpinteria Oil and Gas Processing Facility. The California Department of Parks and Recreation (CDPR) would grant a right of entry permit to Chevron U.S.A. for temporary access to State Park property to stage equipment and access a portion of beach directly to the east of Carpinteria State Beach. The project would be subject to mitigation measures prepared within the EIR as well as additional measures provided by CDPR to ensure the protection of the resources of Carpinteria SB. CDPR (the Responsible Agency) independently considered the EIR certified by the City of Carpinteria (the Lead Agency).
