Document Description
The Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is providing funding to the Humboldt County Resource Conservation District to implement fuels reduction, pest reduction, and restoration treatments within Humboldt Redwoods State Park in Humboldt County. Treatment activities include mechanical (e.g., chipping) and manual treatments. The purpose of these treatment activities is to accelerate the development of late-seral forest conditions, reduce hazardous fuels loads, promote biodiversity, and demonstrate efficacy of climate beneficial prescriptions.
