Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement number EPIMS-SBR-16113-R6 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas).
The project is limited to excavation of two sections of existing pipeline L235 at MP127.93 and MP124.56 for the purpose of recoating deteriorating sections of the pipeline. A 300ft x 50ft work area to recoat a 200 ft section of pipeline and a 400ft x 50ft work area to recoat a 300 ft section of pipeline, is required by code. Project crews will first grade the work area, next a backhoe excavator will be used to dig a 4 ft deep by 10 ft wide trench on both sides of the pipeline. Crews will then access the trench to sandblast and recoat the exposed pipeline using hand tools. Once the pipeline has been recoated the crews will backfill the trench using previously excavated soils and
re-contour the work site to pre-project grades.
