Document Description
The proposed project involves the development of 733.5 acres of undeveloped land into residential communities, schools, parks, open spaces, public facilities, and commercial businesses. Project activities would include the grading and filling of habitat for the construction of ten (10) bio-retention basins throughout the development and the installation of a series of storm drains varying in size from 24 inches to 48 inches.
The Project will result in permanent impacts to 2.53 acres of Crotch’s bumble bee (Bombus crotchii) habitat. The Project could result in incidental take of Crotch’s bumble bee, which is/are designated as a candidate species under the California Endangered Species Act (CESA). The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
