Document Description
The proposed Project would repurpose replant 117.3 acres of fallowed, but previously groundwater-dependent irrigated agricultural land in Stanislaus County as part of the ETSGSA Multibenefit Agricultural Land Repurposing Program. The land would be replanted with beneficial cover crops intended to improve water penetration and retention, provide pollinator-friendly and bee-friendly habitat, and reduce groundwater demand through reduced irrigated acreage. No excavation or tilling is proposed as part of the proposed Project.
