Document Description
The Project will construct, operate, and maintain a photovoltaic solar facility and associated infrastructure necessary to generate approximately 65 megawatt (MW) of renewable electrical energy including an associated 25 MW battery energy storage system. The Project will result in permanent impacts throughout the 627-acre Project Area to San Joaquin kit fox (Vulpes macrotis mutica), giant kangaroo rat (Dipodomys ingens), and western burrowing owl (Athene cunicularia hypugaea) habitat. The Project is expected to result in incidental take of San Joaquin kit fox, which is designated as a threatened species under the California Endangered Species Act (CESA), giant kangaroo rat, which is designated as an Endangered species under CESA, and western burrowing owl, which is designated as a candidate species under CESA. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of these species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
